pictures from lu's birthday!

I thought I would share these pictures... 2 weeks later!! Sorry for the delay....
We were at the hospital at 7am to start the induction. We took the time for one last belly picture!

Here's one last picture as a family of two before we became a family of three! I was so nervous!

After the photo ops, the nurse came in and started the pitocin. After about an hour of that, I was having contractions every minute apart. Jon took a picture of that too, but I will never post that on any blog EVER. It's quite possibly the scariest photo I've ever taken. The epidural man was in the operating room assisting with a c-section, so I had to wait about 45 minutes for him to come in our room. Let me tell you.. that epidural was AWESOME. From that point on I was feeling gooooooooood......After a short snooze, the nurse came back in and checked me. Surprisingly I went from 3cm to 10cm in an hour! What a shocker! That is when the whirlwind started. Several nurses were bringing in equipment and getting things ready. There were a lot of people in the room, but our favorite was the nurse Lori. She was the best! After about an hour of pushing, Lucy's heartrate dropped, and she had to be born asap. Once she was out, it took a quick second to get her to cry. That felt like forever! Jon grabbed the camera and headed over to her.

After they got her levels back up, they handed her over to us! She was just so perfectly sweet and cozy!

girl time!

Jon is officially out of town for the next four days. :( Yesterday he had a flight to Minnesota, returned for about 2 hours this afternoon, and then had to leave for Vegas until Tuesday. I know I definitely enjoyed being able to out number Lucy last week! The next few days should prove to be interesting! Wish me luck and keep me in your prayers until Tuesday! :)

This morning Lucy had her 2 week check up. She gained 6 oz since last week and grew 1/4 inch! Wooo hooo! She did really well with the visit and hardly made a peep while we were there. She zonked out in the carseat before we even left the building. It was nice to have a sleeping baby on the way home!
